The key to my perseverance is absolutely loving the art and craft by heart….hey, I am Rituparna hailing from a small city Berhampore of West Bengal which has its glittering presence across the world for its famous Ivory work, Brassworks, Murshidabad Silk attires, Sholawood works, etc. and I grew up seeing such beautiful artwork around me . I was very passionate about art and craft since my childhood.
I belong to a cultural family, my grandfather was a famous historian Late Dr.Nihar Ranjan Roy, my mother and sister are from the classical singing background. After completing my Masters in Political Science I was involved in a stipulated 9 hours job which was unable to provide me mental satisfaction. Following my inherited know-how towards crafting elements, I started enhancing theoretical knowledge by attending several diploma courses over Art & Crafts, Diploma in Mural art from Holy Child School of Fine Arts - Mumbai. It has been long 16 years I am keenly attached with this crafting world through the various artist, learning centers, sharing my creativeness with my co-workers.
For me, crafting is about the aesthetics and the hard work that goes into creating something beautiful. Motivation and dedication to the craft are what pushes me to do my best, to always strive to do better, and the outcome is always worth it. I cherish my wonderful achievements starts with "Crafter in the Spotlight" by Itsy-bitsy Craft store, "Craft Enthusiast" by Prika and some of my paintings were exhibited in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Delhi, Kerala which was organized by Kalaakar Foundation. I also received "Best Paintings Award" at Srilanka, as well as in World Art Dubai exhibited my painting and won some competition as well. I would like to share one of my biggest achievement till date when my project got published on "Scrapping4funchallenges" which is based out of Switzerland and its one of the most popular craft challenging blog for "New Year Calendar 2019" and was honoured with National Iconic Women Award 2019 held by Info park education society. Now I am serving my creations as DT on "Scrapping4funchallenges"(Switzerland) and it was great learning experience being a DT with "Through The Craft Room Door"(Arizona), "Splashymixchallenges"(India). You can see all my creations in my Blog "The Enticing Creations".

Scrap the Boys -
Being a crafter mother is not easy,I have a 2-year old daughter she is the most beautiful thing which God has crafted for me :) and I cherish each moment spend with her but the toughest part of being a crafter mother is to manage sufficient time to carry on productive creation as a crafter but the best part is that you get to more motivated and inspired to do authenticate craftwork altogether with the most adorable person around you with their cute innocent smiles. After becoming a mother I do face difficulties in balancing my work and life but my husband supported me in all respect and in all situation whatever it may be and I m blessed to have very supportive parents and In-laws who always helped me and motivated me to pursue my passion.
A message I would love to convey to all Indian mothers who are talented and creative but never exposed to the world is that we all have some purpose in our lives and a unique talent to give to others. We should have that Courage, determination, commitment, toughness to lead in our path. What I believe if you're talented and hardworking nothing can’t stop a mother from chasing their dreams despite all responsibilities which we all handle them so gracefully. So the journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming you from being a mother to a super mom :)
